“PARTICIPATE NOW TO COMPETE IN 2-D & 3-D ANIMATION COMPETITION”

Penang Development Corporation (PDC) with the support from MSC Malaysia and School of Art of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and ITU-UUM Asia Pacific Center of Excellence for Rural ICT Development, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) is organizing 2-D and 3-D Animation Competitions (“Competition”) for year 2010 under the purview of the annual Penang Open e-Creative Challenge series (POeCC). 		Objectives
 

To encourage our youth to venture into the digital creative content industry.
 
To expose and cultivate interest amongst students and graduates to develop their potentials in animation technology.

`Rules

1. Send us your entries by 31 August 2010. No Entry Fee is required.

2. Many attractive prizes can be won.

3. The completed work in AVI format must be delivered to PDC office by 1 November 2010.

4. Every participant shall be entitled to receive a T-Shirt or any goodie as provided by the organizer.

5. Seminar on 'Career in Digital Creative Industry', mini-exhibition and prize giving ceremony shall be held in December 2010.

LATEST UPDATE ON FORMAT OF SUBMISSION Please be informed that the completed work can be submitted by 1 November 2010 in computer-playable animation files in .avi or .mov format with a minimum resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.
The duration of the show is between 30 seconds to 5 minutes with background sound effects.
There is no restriction in the frame rate (fps).
The theme of the Competition is 'Go Green'.
NEW Please be informed that the deadline for submitting your entry form has been extended. However, your entry form or/and your completed work in .mov or .avi format must reach us before or on 1 November 2010
